Biography
I have spent more than 40 years helping Sacramento families with their family law needs, guiding people through divorce, child custody, child support, and other challenges. My commitment to service began at 18 when I joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving six years in Vietnam and the Far East before working my way through college and graduating from McGeorge School of Law in 1979. After starting my legal career in Sacramento, I focused on family law and saw how often people without attorneys struggled in court. In 2005, I founded Help U File to assist self-represented individuals by training and supervising law students to help clients prepare paperwork and understand the process; by 2012 it became my primary focus. For more than 20 years, I have also volunteered as a temporary judge in Sacramento Superior Court, reinforcing my belief that clear communication and proper guidance lead to fair outcomes.
