Since 1979, Vincent D. Ward has handled cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, stepparent adoption and guardianship.
Position: He personally reviews all documents and other papers prior to submission to court, trains staff in Family Law issues, and resolves any questions that may arise about legal activities. He also will take brief Limited Scope appearances to multiple-day trials on complex issues. Mr. Ward will work with the staff to ensure you resolve your legal issue in a manner that causes minimal disruption to you enabling you to move forward in life.
Education and Work Background: McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, Sacramento, California. Admitted to the California Bar in 1979. Mr. Ward obtained his undergraduate work at CSU, Sacramento, and received a Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law in May 1979. He began practicing in November, maintaining a private practice until 2005, when he began Help-U-File Family Law. He serves as a judge pro tern in the Small Claims and Traffic courts, and as a judge pro term in Department 128 of the Superior Court, the Family Law Settlement Conference department.
Interests: Mr. Ward is intensely interested in people and appreciates the opportunity to work with them at stressful points in their lives. Born in California, he enlisted in the Marine Corps shortly after high school and served several tours in Vietnam. He is a small boat sailor and enjoys the American River Bike Trail. He cherishes his family, now including two great granddaughters.
